IT SECURITY ASSIST

One of the most common failures of computers is the lack of security software and proactive monitoring including investigation of alerts and software product renewals. It is an issue which is often overlooked and has dire consequences for the unfortunate computer owner. Today’s internet has provided numerous methods for virus attacks and threats which are continuously evolving. The importance of safeguarding your system by policing uninvited activity cannot be underestimated.

Our IT Security Assist Package acts as a gate for your computer systems protecting them from incoming treats by seeking out, destroying and warning of possible threats. Our qualified technicians will undertake necessary steps to investigate alerts and attempt to combat the latest threats so they that will not cause you havoc.

What does the package include?

  • Reliable security product that stops threats in real time and secures businesses and individuals wherever they connect

  • Proactive maintenance to ensure weaknesses are identified to stop attacks before they start

  • Investigation by an SCiT Technician at no cost should your system be under possible threat

  • Removal of any detected threats by an SCiT Technician at no cost

How does it work?

  • A SCiT technician will arrange a time with you to remotely connect to your system(s) to install necessary products

  • A SCiT technician will monitor your machine and investigate any alerts on a daily basis and contact you should there be an issue that requires further investigation

How much does it cost?

$80 + GST per year per system *billed annually

IT BACKUP & DISASTER RECOVERY

How are you protecting confidential business documentation or client contact details? How important are you family photos? What about your child’s high school assignment?

Safeguarding your data and having a recovery strategy in place that will give you access to your data should you experience a significant system failure. SCiT has customised a package that offers you reassurance and protection.

What does the package include?

  • Reliable backup product that backs up your system email and data on a daily basis

  • Remote monitoring by a SCiT technician to ensure backups are occurring and are valid

  • Remote monitoring by a SCiT technician to detect early warning signs and possible problems

  • Reliable recovery and access to recovered data in the event of a disaster*

  • An onsite/remote visit from a SCiT Technician at no cost should your issue need further investigation and/or rectification

How does it work?

  • A SCiT technician will visit you onsite to set up your hardware device and install an application on your computer which will enable the backups and recovery of your data

  • A SCiT technician will monitor your backups on a daily basis and contact you should there be an issue that requires further investigation

*Please note that the backup product runs on a daily basis and therefore any recovery effort will be limited to the last daily back up.

What do I need to do?

  • It’s a requirement that you have a dedicated external back up USB hard drive or network attached storage device.

How much does it cost?

This package focuses on daily preventative action to ensure optimal system health. It combines the services offered in both IT Security and IT Backup and Recovery with the added maintenance services.

What does it include?

  • All services outlined above under Security and Backup and Recovery Packages

  • Windows updates to ensure the system has the latest patches

  • Alerts of potential hardware issues to identify possible failures before they occur

  • Disk checks to identify errors and minimise corruption

  • Removal of junk files to free storage space

  • Disk fragmentation to ensure optimal speed

  • Temperature alerts to prevent possible overheating issues

  • Scheduled Microsoft Windows System Restore Points

How does it work?

  • A SCiT technician will perform a ‘health check’ on your systems to understand the current operating state. From there, recommendations may be provided to ensure your systems are operating at a satisfactory level prior to commencing on the Complete IT Assist.*

*In order to be eligible for the Complete IT Assist, clients must implement SCiT recommendations.

How much does it cost?

SCiT ‘health check’ will be charged at normal SCiT rates. An average health check takes 15 minutes per system.
